An important Firmware upgrade and Security update has been issued by Grandstream the makers of some customers desk and cordless handsets.

If you notice your GRANDSTREAM CORDLESS HANDSET shows offline or is not able to make or receive calls - please carefully remove power supply from 'Grandstream Base Unit' connected to your broadband router or network point, wait 60 seconds and replace. Allow base unit to install upgrade, this could take 2-5 minutes.

If you notice your GRANDSTREAM DESK HANDSET shows offline or is not able to make or receive calls - please remove power supply and wait 60 seconds, replace power supply, and if handset screen shows upgrade request, accept the request, then wait for upgrade completion, this could take 2-5 minutes.

Firmware Upgrades of this nature are normally only issued a handful of times a year, but are important for the security and maintenance of your telephony device.
